The Rainbow Oasiiis artist residency program is a unique opportunity for Miami-based artists to work in a stimulating and supportive environment. The residency is located at Haiiileen’s hyper-colorful, rainbow-inspired home/studio in the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami. The program is designed to provide artists with a dedicated work-live space that is outside of their usual environment and to offer them mentorship and access to some of the top professionals in the Miami art world.

During the residency, artists are required to work in-studio for a minimum of 16 hours per week during the month-long residency, between the hours of 7 am – 11 pm, Monday through Saturday. They will also be asked to create one unique work to be displayed at the Rainbow Oasiiis upon completion of the residency, which will be auctioned off in the fundraiser in Oct. 2023.

The residency is unpaid, but resident artists will have access to tools and materials from Haiiileen’s studio space, as well as the chance to be partnered or sponsored by a material company to provide them with a kit and a stipend. The studio is equipped with a variety of tools and equipment, including a sewing machine, computer, printer, power tools, and safety equipment.

The Friends of Oasiiis program provides resident artists with access to 1-on-1 mentoring from leading professionals in their industry, based on the 7 Pillars of Residency, Opportunity, You, Green, Bright, Innovation, and Volunteer.

The application submission is free and open to Miami-based artists who are 18 years or older with a valid Florida ID. The residency is available to individual artists, and a $500 deposit is placed on hold for damages to the property. Artists must be responsible for returning all keys, and the property will have smart locks and cameras to provide safety for each of the artists while they work on the property.
